With the goal of advancing medical training services and addressing healthcare disparities in Atlantic City, AtlantiCare developed a new 69,700 sqft Medical Arts Pavilion. This three-story, $38.3 million facility deepens AtlantiCare’s investment in health equity with new and expanded programs including Maternal Fetal Medicine, Family Planning, Safe Beginnings (including neonatal intensive care), FQHC Pediatrics, and Family Medicine Teaching. In addition, the Medical Arts Pavilion is home to AtlantiCare’s Medical Education Program, complete with classrooms, resident workspace, Simulation Center, and a 19,000 sqft auditorium. As a part of Atlantic City’s ongoing redevelopment initiative, AtlantiCare received preliminary approval from the state Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) for the development of this new medical office building.
The Medical Arts Pavilion is a ground-up, new construction project located directly across from AtlantiCare’s Regional Medical Center Hospital (AC’s first hospital). Its design maximizes patient privacy, safety, and comfort through natural light, inviting common areas, and clear wayfinding. To further the calm and healing environment, the facility is decorated with 220 pieces of art created by NJ artists through AtlantiCare Foundations’ Healing Arts Program.
The Carlin Collaborative provided full Project Management services for the client including planning, design management, construction management, vendor and equipment coordination, and move management leading the project to success from planning through occupancy. Additionally, the TCC team managed site improvements, tenant fit outs, and innovative solutions to the client’s rapid growth needs. The development required complex coordination across various regulatory agencies, planning boards, user groups, and neighboring developments. Through TCC’s expert communication, leadership, and logistical foresight the project was completed successfully meeting all client requirements.
