PathoQuest, a leader in pathogen identification in biologic and bio-production samples using metagenomic testing decided to locate their first lab outside of France in Wayne, PA. The new facility for PathoQuest will offer the expansion of their Next-Generation-Sequencing (NGS) platform and will allow them to support their clients’ needs for biologics testing.
The Carlin Collaborative was engaged to manage the fit-out of the 7,300 sqft space which is comprised of laboratory spaces, including a BSL-2 component, sample receipt, and storage, administrative space, meeting space, and IT infrastructure. This fit-out required special coordination to identify similar equipment to European counterparts as well as added coordination due to their international location to coordinate fiber service, environmental monitoring, and other unique concerns.
With careful coordination of the equipment conversions, electrical infrastructure, and building adjacencies, TCC provided on-site, and daily observations throughout the process of design, construction, and occupancy.
