Currently serving over 36,000 patients a year, the Cooper University Hospital Cape Regional Emergency Department (ED) underwent a renovation to support their mission of providing the most advanced emergency medical care possible to every patient they serve. The enhancements were designed to deliver personalized and efficient care while improving patient satisfaction to accommodate an increased number of patients, particularly during the high-volume summer season.

Construction included the renovation of the existing Emergency Department Waiting, Triage and Check-in areas along with the renovation of a former Fast Track Waiting area for 2nd Triage, new offices, storage area, and renovation of formerly vacated radiology space to expand the ED for 9 additional treatment bays. The new Emergency Department is adjacent to dedicated radiology space that houses a CT scan, ultrasound, x-ray reducing wait times for acute patients.

TCC was hired for Project Management services assisting the Hospital and Clinicians with providing comprehensive treatment spaces for life-threatening illness and injuries to minor medical conditions. TCC’s scope of services included project evaluation, team formation, budget development and monitoring, design management, regulatory approvals, construction management, commissioning, occupancy, and close-out.
