TCC Celebrates at Topping Out Ceremony for St. Luke’s Hospital Third Wing Expansion

TCC was proud to be on hand for the steel topping out ceremony celebrating the Third Wing Expansion at St. Luke’s Hospital on Friday, June 20, at the Richard A. Anderson Campus in Easton, Pennsylvania.

In a celebratory tradition, the final beam—adorned with an American flag, the Star of St. Luke’s, and a Nordic pine—was signed and ceremonially lifted into place atop the new 300,000+ square foot expansion. This moment marked a significant milestone in the ongoing transformation of the campus.

The project includes the construction of a five-story, state-of-the-art tower designed to support a wide range of advanced cardiac care services. The new facility will feature an expanded operating room platform with hybrid and heart ORs, an enlarged emergency department, and new Class III catheterization, interventional radiology, sterile processing, and electrophysiology labs. It will also include a Class I non-invasive cardiology suite, updated residency support spaces, a full-service cafeteria and kitchen, and additional support areas to accommodate the anticipated increase in patient beds. A rooftop helipad will provide direct access to the Emergency Department’s trauma center.

TCC is providing Project Management Services throughout the construction phase. Responsibilities include oversight of the general contractor’s performance, review and recommendation of Owner actions related to project changes, and coordination of design issue resolutions between the architect and contractor. TCC is also developing project reports to keep the Owner informed on construction progress, schedule adherence, cost tracking, and on-site activity.

Upon completion, the Third Wing will mark a transformative step for the Richard A. Anderson Campus, positioning it as the flagship hospital within the St. Luke’s University Health Network.
