A rapidly expanding CDMO specializing in cell and gene therapies retained The Carlin Collaborative for management of projects at their King of Prussia campus. The client’s vision to be the number one Advanced Therapies CDMO required large-scale manufacturing infrastructure and lab space to support long-term growth goals.
TCC provided full project management services for design and construction of seven (7) floors, 30,000 sqft each, of GMP lab and manufacturing space. Programming included methods, analytical, viral vector, cell processing, cell and gene therapy, and plasmid production space. TCC managed additional construction and CQV efforts for warehousing, cold box, and office projects alongside campus infrastructure projects which were required to support the needs of the growing space.
TCC oversaw design planning to ensure that all space was programmed in the most operationally effective locations with adjacencies to relevant spaces. The TCC team authored a preliminary scope of work and managed qualified vendor RFPs and bid comparisons for the client. Throughout the full project lifecycle, TCC led campus-wide coordination and managed timely responses to requests for information from end users, leadership, architects, and engineers. TCC’s oversight of the many design and construction activities resulted in the successful completion of this scalable, turnkey environment for all current and future tenants of the client.
