The Carlin Collaborative was engaged to provide equipment coordination and occupancy management nearing the end of construction for Drexel University’s new Health Sciences Building. The 12-story, state-of-the-art academic home brings together the College of Nursing and Health Professionals, the College of Medicine, and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and Professional Studies, encouraging collaboration, research, and practice opportunities for the student body.
To create valuable opportunities for interdisciplinary education which affords students, faculty, and professional staff an ideal environment for growth, the facility required the newest and best equipment and technology. TCC skillfully coordinated the relocation of occupants and equipment for the Graduate Medical Education Lab and School of Medicine while additionally establishing criteria for acceptance of new equipment.
Communicating directly with equipment vendors, construction trades, and end users, TCC completed occupancy planning to meet critical dates of the University’s academic calendar. To ensure a smooth adoption of equipment, TCC managed the coordination of training for operations and maintenance of all new systems and tracked all warrantee documents prior to release of final payment to contractors and vendors.
