With the mission to improve the quality of patient care in the Southern NJ region and increase their private bed capacity, AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center elected to evaluate ways to achieve this as quickly and economically as possible at their Galloway, NJ Campus. TCC provided Owner’s representative/Project Management services starting with feasibility studies for this project. We assisted ARMC explore different options, considering their current operations, master plan objectives for the campus, as well as budget and schedule.
After carefully reviewing and evaluating all possible options, it was decided that a vertical expansion to their existing bed tower would be the most effective way to meet their immediate goals. The project scope includes two additional floors of private beds with state-of-the-art technology, renovation of key patient spaces outside the two floors, and infrastructure improvements.
This project required special attention to phasing and logistics to ensure that the existing 2 patient floors would remain operational during the entire construction duration. The Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing design also required careful consideration of required shutdowns and how these new systems and upgrades would affect operations. All considerations also had to align with the aggressive schedule and budget constraints. TCC provided full Project Management services including feasibility design, project budget development and controls, delivery method selection, developing master project schedule including critical milestones and phasing, design documentation coordination, quality assurance, construction activity oversight, contractor management, coordination of facility operation interruptions, cost tracking, management of commissioning activities, vendor and equipment coordination, and move management. Our team’s comprehensive planning, attention to detail, and expert facilitation creates project success from start to finish, ensuring operational success for the campus.
This project is currently under construction with phased completion dates. Final completion is estimated in the first quarter of 2025.
